Every summer Passages Alaska offers visits to provide a unique opportunity to learn about and explore the program. Summer 2025, Passages Alaska will be offering three tours.
The tours are designed to showcase the experience offered to participants. They allow visitors to learn about the commitment to fostering personal growth and environmental stewardship.
This summer they are offering a special excursion in addition to the traditional format.
The first two of these visits will follow the usual format. They will provide a valuable chance to connect with the staff, meet with students, learn about the island and observe programming in action. They are three days on the island with an opportunity to spend a night in Ketchikan.
Let the adventure begin…
The third tour will be offered is a 3-day expedition in an 18 person canoe for 10 people. Guests will paddle to the islands in the Passages Alaska operating area. They will get to experience cooking wonderful meals (maybe even some fresh caught fish), seeing ocean wildlife, having the best sleeping view ever…from a hammock, and getting a real feel for what the students experience.
Passages Alaska will also give a chance to learn some island culture.
The adventure will begin with arrival on Prince of Wales Island Monday, June 23rd and will depart POW Friday, June 27th with the option of spending that night in Ketchikan.
