King George School names Director of Communications
Sutton, VT, - Despite the Brown Schools/CEDU bankruptcy announcement
and proceedings, the King George School is charging forward
as if nothing happened and is looking toward the future. The
school is pleased to announce the promotion of Jerry "Jay"
Ramsey to the position of Director of Communications and Outreach.
This is a new position at the school and will serve the increasing
need for information to and from sources outside the school.
Jay has worked at the school for nearly five years and in
a variety of capacities, including Overnight Staff, Music
Teacher, Mentor and Resource Coordinator. Jay is originally
from Kentucky and has lived in Vermont for the past 8 years.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from Goddard
College, Plainfield, VT.
Since the bankruptcy announcement, Jay has been providing
and coordinating information delivery to Educational Consultants,
parents, and staff. Jay will serve as the primary contact
for Educational Consultants once a student is admitted to
the school.
The King George School is a private co-educational
emotional growth boarding school in northeast Vermont. The
school works with students who have a demonstrated interest
in the visual, performing, and creative arts, and who have
identified needs for emotional growth.
Students that are accepted at the King George School are bright,
capable learners with a high interest in proceeding on to
college after receiving their high school diploma. For more
