We at Eckerd Youth Alternatives share the concern expressed
by so many over the sudden closing of CEDU Schools, and the
hardship this has created for parents whose children have
been displaced and the CEDU staff who dedicated their lives
and energy for the betterment of youth. Our thoughts are with
all of you.
Eckerd Youth Alternatives, a mission-driven, nonprofit organization,
was among the pioneers in helping at-risk and troubled teens
through therapeutic residential programs. Since 1968, we have
helped more than 63,000 youth find a better path in life.
For the families and children who have been displaced by
the sudden closure of the CEDU Schools, we offer an alternative
placements and special assistance. Our Admissions office will
provide personal attention and expedited processing of any
referral related to the CEDU closure. Further, we do not have
application fees. For assistance, call our Director of Admissions,
Francene Hazel, directly at 1-800-914-3937.
For former CEDU employees, we invite you to explore career
opportunities among our staff of 1,400 employees as teachers,
counselors or human service workers at one of our 40 program
locations in eight states. For more information about current
opportunities and to apply online, visit our web site at www.eckerd.org
.
At Eckerd Youth Alternatives, our bottom line is helping
kids. In this time of crisis for so many, if we can help,
we stand firmly ready to offer assistance.
Sincerely,
Robert B. McKeagney
