New Academic Dean
Rea Kreider is the new Academic Dean for Mount Bachelor Academy in Bend, Oregon. 

Wilderness Treatment Center Has New Clinical/Marketing Director
Loren Johnston is the new Clinical/Marketing Director for Wilderness Treatment Center in Marion, Montana replacing Bob Kirchner who has gone to Pathways Treatment Center in Kalispell, Montana. 

Now An Affiliate Member Of The AAIS
St. Paul's Academy in Phoenix, Arizona is now an affiliate member of the Arizona Association of Independent Schools (AAIS). 

Consultant Business Growing
Julie Rhind, an educational consultant in Danville, California reports that her business is growing. She says she is seeing more and more high school and middle school students. Julie is the past admissions director for Athenian School and can be reached at 510-820-8858. 

Fifth Annual Professional Forum And Retreat

IECA Appoints Executive Director
Mark H. Sklarow has been appointed Executive Director of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). He replaces Bill Peirce who left at the end of March after 12 years of service. Sklarow comes from the Executive Directorship of Creative Response International Youth Programs which promotes international and cross-cultural understanding through the arts. 

Staff Is Collected For Wilderness Summer Program
The staff TREX, Inc. in Bend, Oregon has collected for their wilderness programs this summer includes Joseph A. Williams, Facilitator, who holds a masters degree in Clinical Psychology and is a certified Psychiatric Technician whose work with children spans 20 years; Daphne Tuthill, Facilitator, with a M.A. in Counseling Psychology and has worked with children, adolescents and adults for 13 years; Lon A. Wallace, Facilitator, who has an M.S. in Clinical Psychology and has worked for years with all ages in the areas of chemical dependency, stress/pain management, depression, anxiety and abuse issues; Janet G. McKee, Parent and Family Workshops Facilitator, who has a B.S. in Elementary Education, her Oregon Teaching Certificate, currently completing a masters program in Counseling and has worked with adolescents and families for 13 years; and Laurie J. Gatzlaff, Scheduling and Logistics Coordinator, with her B.S. in Recreation and several years as outdoor guide for wilderness river rafting/canoeing and backpacking/hiking trips.
