Ascent
"Self Discovery In Nature"
Sandpoint, Idaho
Renel Hanson, Director of Admissions
(208) 267-3626

Ascent is the newest addition to the CEDU family of services utilizing their holistic approach to education - addressing the physical, emotional and educational needs of young people. The 41-day expedition uses the wilderness of the Pacific Northwest as an outdoor classroom. Groups are usually eight students and three staff. "Ascent's highly structured program provides the framework for many confidence-building challenges. The course emphasizes introspection, teamwork and safety. The beauty of the pristine wilderness, devoid of distraction and conflict, serves as the perfect frontier to explore one's self." Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in the family workshop at the conclusion of the trip. The wilderness program is administered by Stacy Wasserman and Paul Clark.
