Majestic Ranch
For Boys
Randolph, Utah
Dan Peart, Executive Director
(801) 793-3000
Licensed for 38
boys, ages 9-18, it is a 2,000 acre working ranch for boys
with excellent potential but who "are headed for some real
problems." It "is designed to help young men build character,
acquire self-discipline, respect authority, develop stamina,
increase self-esteem, and to learn appreciation. Many times
young men cannot begin to change the course of their lives
until they are separated from the negative forces controlling
their lives." Each boy lives in a family type environment
with 11 other boys and the "house parents." With this nurturing,
warm atmosphere as a base, the ranch "provides services including
therapy as needed, supervised treatment programs and responsibilities,
24 hour staffing with a high staff to student ratio, monitored
progress in a private individualized academic program, room
and board, and coordination with various health care services."
