North Star Expeditions
is a 63-day wilderness based program licensed by the State
of Utah since November, 1990. It serves young people ages
13-18. Their philosophy statement includes, "Stripping away
current societal influences and going back to the rigors faced
by our homesteading families and pioneers, a scant 100 years
ago, young people begin to see the world and their place in
it differently than before. Re-discovering the values and
foundation of character instilled by their parents." Greg
Bodenhamer, author of "Back In Control" and a well known educational
consultant from California, conducts a 2 day on site parental
guidance seminar, and parents also have available a 10-week
follow-up phone consultation with Mr. Bodenhamer.
