CEDU Middle School

The CEDU School system has
added another element for those children who are too young for the already
existing CEDU School, Rocky Mountain Academy, and Hilltop. The CEDU
Middle School already has ten students within a very short time of opening
its doors, and is rapidly growing. It takes the successful CEDU philosophy
and adapts it to what is more appropriate for children ages 9 1/2 to
13 1/2 in a coeducational year round boarding school. It's physical
location is close to the CEDU School, but facilities and the children
mingle very little if at all. Academics are appropriate for the age
(grades 5-8), but of course the real uniqueness is in the emotional
growth and bringing that into context of the needs of the whole child.
A Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP) is to be developed for each child
which contains goals and strategies regarding individual goals, emotional
growth, family dynamics, and academic progress. During each student's
stay at the school, the elements and resources brought to bear on each
child include regular meetings of values communication groups, individual
counseling, a variety of academic and counseling specialists, outdoor
experiential activities, sports, and family workshops.
