Wilderness Crossroads
(804) 288-8784
Loraine Woodward, Marketing
Starting in early June of
this year, Wilderness Crossroads will start taking adolescents and young
adults into the West Virginia Appalachia Mountains for three weeks of
a therapeutic wilderness experience. Developed as an alternative to
more traditional in-patient programs, it brings to the middle East Coast
the unique blend of wilderness healing and therapeutic milieu.
Paul Clark was the Director
of the wilderness survival portion of Spring Creek Community School
in Western Montana. Dr. George Bright is the Clinical Director of the
Adolescent Health Center in Midlothian, Virginia. The result of the
two of them combining forces is Wilderness Crossroads, where adolescents
with behavior and drug problems will learn consequences through challenging
the wilderness under the supervision of the professional staff of the
Adolescent Health Center.
