Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I have exciting news! After years of dreaming
and careful planning, Campbell Park has opened its doors and greeted
its first students. Five boys representing the United States,
Vietnam and New Zealand were the first students to arrive on our
abundant campus September 16. As you can see by the pictures,
they are as excited as we are!
After a few days of settling in, the boys left for their first
adventure! A 5-day expedition to get to know each other,
explore the local area and learn beginning expeditionary skills
is the first of many they will enjoy while at Campbell Park. Hiking
through the spectacular Ahuriri National Park, descending into
the Ben Ohou basin and then kayaking through one of the South Islands
most beautiful glacial lakes, they had the experience of a lifetime!
Classes started September 25 and they began with an in-depth study
into "The Greenhouse Effect.” All core curriculum
areas will be related to this relevant issue that affects all of
our futures. Preparing the greenhouse and growing
organic vegetables will be one of the many hands on lessons
that will be taught through our innovative, project based,
college-preparatory curriculum.
Campbell Park, New Zealand's International Community
for Education and Learning has an open enrollment policy and we
would be happy to discuss its academic and residential
offerings with you. We encourage you to visit our website www.campbellpark.org for
more information and recent updates. Please feel
free to call us for additional information or to answer any questions.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
