Three Springs Auldern Academy is pleased to announce the appointment
of Jane Samuel to the position of Head of School.
"The decision to shift positions is significant because
I do love my job as the IEC Liaison for Three Springs," said
Ms. Samuel. "But, having visited Auldern twice now, I have
fallen in love with the spirit of this school. I am very much
looking forward to working with the Auldern staff and supporting
them in the good work they do with the young women in their care."
Following a long career teaching and coaching young women in
a large public school system, Ms. Samuel - then Jane Stewart
- entered the private therapeutic industry through a teaching
position at CEDU School in Running Springs, California. She later
joined a then-new Mount Bachelor Academy in Prineville, Oregon
as Admissions Director.
After several years at Mount Bachelor, Ms. Samuel became part
of the team that founded The NorthStar Center in Bend, Oregon.
She later joined New Leaf Academy as Headmistress of their second
campus, Rock Mesa, also in Bend.
Ms. Samuel joined Three Springs in December 2005 as IEC Liaison,
working from her home in Tucson, Arizona.
"I have known Jane for many years," said Sharon Laney,
Three Springs COO. "At every conference we attended we met
to just talk about our programs, schools and the industry. It
is a privilege to know her as I do and it is an honor to work
with her."
"As someone who helped develop Auldern," Laney continued, "I
have a very personal love for the school, staff and the girls
we serve. It is with excitement that I now entrust Jane to carry
on the dream and vision of the Academy. The staff members are
very dedicated and working together with Jane I believe that
Auldern will continue to blossom and grow. I will support Jane
and the staff in any way possible during this transition."
Auldern Academy is a private therapeutic boarding school for
girls located near Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Auldern offers
a challenging, traditional 9th through 12th grade academic curriculum
designed to prepare young women for college and success post-graduate
lives.
