Mr. Reiss.
Thank you for your eloquent and informative article entitled
“Sending
A Lost Boy To The Wilderness To Find Himself.” I also sent
my 4th daughter to an emotional growth-boarding school. Sadly,
Pete Talbott, CEO of The Browns Schools, closed CEDU after 40
years of continued success. I thought chapter 7 was in a book.
I thought school closing meant snow. Seven schools with hundreds
of employees and countless children who aspired to ‘Dream the
Impossible Dream.’ I now understand that emotional growth students
are challenged by either adoption, abandonment and/ or divorce.
Woodbury Reports, www.strugglingteens.com has all the information
readily obtainable including the link I found on this story by
Mr. Reiss in the Breaking
News section of the website. Educational consultants are also
available on this website. New Horizons For Young Women, owned
and operated by Barbara Walter’s daughter; Jacqueline Danforth
has all these resources in Orrington, ME.
Gratefully yours,
Judith
Fisher Freed
PS. I was told that my daughter couldn’t be fixed. She wasn’t
broken.
