[New Perspective]
The University of Human Goodness has been has been
providing free, “hands- on” care for terminally ill
adults and developmentally disabled children for 14+
years. This program is the “planned outgrowth” of the
organization’s internationally acclaimed, all-volunteer
project.
Though not a religious organization, they have found
that people of all faiths and backgrounds who range in
age from 12-81 years of age can discover a “common
ground” through a “spiritual connection.” The program
contains three elements including; service, study, and
reflection that include class work, group development,
cooperative living, project creation, reflection and
journaling, recreation, and several laboratory settings.
The University is open to students who are highly
motivated, service- directed, positive, open,
responsive, and inquiring. They offer scholarships to
full and part-time students, including free room and
board to full-time students.
