Fireside Ranch
is a family-style emotional growth program for boys age 13-18 who are suffering from depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, poor motivation,
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or learning disabilities. “Our clinical staff has extensive experience in these areas, and
continues to be on the cutting edge of the newest clinical interventions.”
They provide “state-of-the-art therapy”, “real world” academics, and healthy outdoor activities. Fireside Ranch is owned and operated
as a family, whose three adult have worked as counselors at other residential treatment facilities for troubled teens. The clinical
director, Dr. Rob Velin, is a “nationally recognized” board-certified psychologist. "Continual therapy," a clinical approach
at the core of the entire program, gives the teens access to therapy from mental health professionals whenever they need it, throughout
the course of the day.
They “admit only those teens who can be helped, and whose parents are committed to helping their sons build new lives.” They are not
a chemical dependency treatment facility and do not accept children for whom chemical dependency or substance abuse is a primary issue.
Nor do they treat sexual offenders, adjudicated youth, those with extensive legal histories or those with serious emotional disturbances.
