After decades of extraordinary leadership, Harry W. Parad, Ph.D., will become Wediko's Clinical Director. Wediko's Deputy Director, Amy Sousa, Ph.D., will take on the position of Executive Director of Wediko Children's Services on July 1, 2013.

Dr. Parad began his work with Wediko in the summer of 1965 providing therapeutic interventions to children who have complex social, emotional, and learning challenges. Since then, he has overseen the marked expansion of Wediko into a full-service continuum of care, including a clinical consultation practice to four dozen schools in Massachusetts, New York, and New Hampshire; short and long term residential treatment programs; home-based services; grief, loss, and trauma support; and outpatient clinical services.

As Clinical Director, Dr. Parad's remarkable 50-year career of serving children and families continues. Dr. Parad will focus his unparalleled energy on working with children and families, mentoring Wediko's clinical staff, engaging with complex clinical consultation, and supporting the growth and development of Wediko's programs.

Dr. Parad states, " this transition offers wediko the opportunity to celebrate our past while looking ahead to the future.

Wediko is a residential treatment center working with students who are struggling with complex psychological profiles and disruptive behaviors. Wediko works with boys and young men ages 6-21.
