She explained loud noises, strobe lights and intensive lighting, which are quite common in modern theater performances, are very difficult for some on the autistic spectrum and make it impossible for them to enjoy a performance. It is possible to stripe out those noises and lighting without detracting from the performance, she assured us, and there already are a few relaxed performances being done in London's West End Theater District quite successfully to full houses.
