Vista at Dimple Dell Canyon is pleased to announce their client specific: Trauma Track. The specialty track is implemented by Dr. Matthew Checketts and facilitated by Ryan Pepper, MSW, LCSW.
This Trauma Track is in addition to the existing, DBT, Relationship, Cognitive Behavioral, and Experiential Groups already in progress. Dimple Dell Canyon is using current treatment data and research from Dr. Checketts dissertation: Female Adolescent Inpatients: An Examination of Coping with Emotional Dysregulation and the Treatment Experiences of Youth with a History of Self-Mutilation to provide sound treatment and healing from the trauma our students have experienced.
Further, Dimple Dell Canyon uses current treatment protocol and best practices from the National Institute of Mental Health and the American Psychiatric Association.
Those young ladies participating in the Trauma Track will have additional trauma related groups, individual sessions, specific interventions and course work to help them clearly identify and cope with their individual traumatic experiences.
