After 30 years of dedicated service to The High Frontier Barry Blevins has decided to retire. Barry has been considering this transition for about a year and looks forward to spending more time with his family. Barry started work for the program as a Milieu Instructor and worked his way up to Vice-President and Executive Director. Barry, with a core management team averaging 20+ years of experience in our program, has been extremely influential in developing the Positive Peer Culture into a highly effective, pro-social, group-based model that is unparalleled in our professional community.

The core leadership group consisting of Tom Homrigaus, Silvanna Milan, Dale Parker, Becky Farrer and John McKay remain committed to The High Frontier - our families and students - and to the Positive Peer Culture model. Tom Homrighaus, who has Assistant Director for the last 20 years, will become Executive Director. Tom has handled an increasing percentage of managing day-to-day operations over his tenure. Dale Parker, who has been a Therapist, Group Leader and Assistant Administrator for the last 17 years, will become Assistant Director. As they have been for quite some time Tom and Dale will continue to share administrative responsibilities but will each remain committed to their roles as Group Leaders.

Silvanna Milan has been our Clinical Director for 25 years and will continue in this capacity. Becky Farrer has been our School Principal for 17.5 years and will continue providing leadership in our school. Additionally, our highly experienced staff of Therapists, Group Leaders, Teachers and Milieu Instructors remains committed to our families and students. We wish Barry well in his retirement but look forward to, and remain dedicated to, our continued work with adolescents using the Positive Peer Culture model.
