Talisman Transitions Opens

Talisman Programs in conjunction with Talisman Academy is proud to announce the opening of our Transitions program for young adults! Located at our Angelique campus in Hendersonville, NC, Talisman Transitions provides young adults with a unique opportunity to develop academic and vocational skills while receiving support with social skills development and independent living.

Talisman Transitions serves young adult males between the ages of 18-24 with Asperger's Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, and similar spectrum disorders. Talisman Transitions utilizes a strength-based approach in order to increase self-esteem while enhancing ability of clients to make positive responsible choices. We focus on improving social awareness, independence, and academic and vocational skills. Clients at our program receive instruction and guidance on developing goals and skills for an independent and healthy lifestyle. Clients will receive instruction in areas including personal finance management, healthy living, jobs related skills, and social and community integration. While at our program clients can finish their high school diploma at Talisman Academy, pursue employment in the local community or attend classes at local community colleges. It is our goal that upon completion of our program clients will be able to successfully live independently while pursuing employment or post-secondary education.
