Summit Prep School recently announced that they are celebrating 15 years as a nonprofit, coed, therapeutic boarding school this year.

In addition, they announced that after exploring several options and reviewing the literature, Summit Prep students have a new daily schedule. The research shows that adolescents are more productive if they start their day later. During the Summer Block a new schedule was introduced that not only started the school day later, but it also provided a time in the beginning of the day for team members to engage in some form of physical activity. Teams may decide to take a walk, shoot baskets or participate in many other active choices.

With any change there was some adjustment to the schedule, students and staff are enjoying their morning time together and the overall feedback has been very positive.
