Summit Achievement is proudly in its nineteenth year of providing evidence-based treatment in our unique hybrid model approach to adventure therapy. As a small, owner-operated organization, we remain committed to providing quality programming with the highest standards and integrity. With the snow melting and the seasons changing, we would like to share with you some of our latest accomplishments, specifically an update on our new accreditation and research outcomes.

Accreditation

Summit is proud to announce that we have just earned accreditation by the Association for Experiential Education/Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare (AEE/OBH Accreditation). Accredited OBH programs demonstrate that they operate above industry standards of ethical care, treatment evaluation, and risk management practices. We encourage all wilderness/adventure therapy programs to go through this vigorous but insightful process of external review by outside professionals in an effort to raise our industry standards.

AEE accreditation adds to the many credentials Summit Achievement holds, including being a licensed residential treatment center with all licensed clinicians and a licensed non-traditional private school with a certified Special Educator on staff.

Research

Summit has been a leading contributor to research in outcomes and treatment effectiveness in wilderness/adventure therapy since 1999 (OBHRC). Since this time, we have consistently evaluated our participant outcomes with a researched-based model and want to share these results with all of you (Summit Outcome Research).

Thank you to all of the Summit Achievement supporters, past and present. We are grateful and look forward to many more years of program excellence and impactful experiences for our students and their families.

Respectfully,

Will White, Chairman of the Board
Mik Oyler, Executive Director
Nichol Ernst, Clinical Director
Shannon Higgins, Admissions Director
Bonnie Richardson, Academic Director
Anson McNulty, Program Director
