Day Break Canyon 1st Green RTC
(July 3, 2009) Larry McArthur, co founder of Day Break Canyon, Twin Falls, ID, announced their new RTC for boys ages 12-17 is up and running. Daybreak Canyon is the first "Green" Residential Treatment Center in the country. Located on 160 acres at historic Magic Hot Springs and completely off the grid, they generate all of their own electricity with a generator using waste vegetable oil collected from local businesses. The facility heats in the winter from hot water siphoned from one of the natural hot springs. They actively recycle, compost, garden, and reuse and reduce waste as much as possible. New Leaf's Trip to Mexico
