Learning Happens Everywhere

The winter months bring even more opportunities for personal growth and exploration at The Oakley School. The location and natural surroundings afford our students and staff new adventures each season. Skiing and snowboarding are always a favorite on the world-renowned slopes in our area. Experienced students and those trying these sports out for the first time love the opportunity to improve and grow new skills. Oakley students also have the opportunity to participate in "off-mountain" activities such as snow shoeing and bouldering.

This time of year is also a good time for students to reflect on all that they have in their lives and what they can offer to others in their communities. Last week, our students and staff worked together to make warm fleece blankets for children at local homeless shelters in Salt Lake City. The effort and dedication that our students devoted to this worthwhile project is humbling and as the snow continues to fall we're excited to be able to share these gifts with those less fortunate.
