Northwest College Support Welcomes Gadd

Northwest College Support is happy to welcome Larisa Rae Gadd as their new Admissions Director. A native of southern California, Larisa received a Bachelor of Arts from California State University- Fullerton in Psychology as well as a minor English. Larisa went on to receive a Masters of Arts degree from Claremont Graduate University in Applied Social Psychology. While receiving her masters, Larisa taught psychology at the local community college in Claremont, was a teaching assistant at Harvey Med College, and worked as a Research Assistant at Scripts College. Larisa contributed to research under a grant from the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI ) studying communication styles in married couples. At this time, Larisa developed a stress management program for college students that was adapted by the counseling center of Scripts, Harvey Med, and Claremont College.

In 2008, Larisa moved to Coeur d' Alene. In 2009, she began working as a direct care staff at a local residential treatment center for young adults. Currently, Larisa is combining her knowledge of psychology and English by authoring a book which teaches readers how to use journaling as a therapeutic tool for self discovery. Most recently Larisa came on board with Northwest College Support in the position of Admissions Director. In this position she will be answering inquires of potential students and their families as well as helping to determine if the potential student would be an appropriate placement at either NWCS's Coeur d'Alene or Everett branch.
