Greg Vogel, Executive Director of the Mountain Valley Treatment Center (MVTC) in Pike, NH, is pleased to announce that it is merging with the Baker Valley Treatment Center (BVTC) in nearby Warren, NH. In addition to combining human resources to create operational efficiencies and improve organizational depth, the merger offers MVTC the opportunity to add another residential site, to be called "Baker House." Dr. Dan Villiers, Ph.D., Founder and Admissions Director, notes that "I applaud the collaborative efforts of Greg and Don Vardell to enhance our collective services to adolescents and young adults suffering from anxiety and related disorders. We started with a single residence in 2011 and now, with three residential facilities, we are able to better house residents based upon gender, age, and therapeutic needs. I am especially looking forward to being able to better serve the emerging needs of our population with a dedicated residence."

Located fifteen minutes from the MVTC Pike campus, Baker House is a restored Victorian-era mansion specifically designed to offer a healing environment for a small cohort of residents. One unique feature is private bathrooms throughout the facility - and it is intended that Baker House will transition to serve as an age or gender specific residence.

Following the integration of resources, Don Vardell, MS, will serve as the Executive Director of the expanded program. Greg Vogel, MA, will serve as the Associate Executive Director. "Since joining us in November to launch BVTC, Don and I have formed a close and productive relationship. He has the industry knowledge and program development experience from which a growing Mountain Valley can benefit," says Mr. Vogel, who will focus on the oversight of the daily operations of the merged campuses while Don focuses on growth related activities. "Greg is an impressive leader and forward-thinking program manager. His vision, passion, and creativity have strengthened the MVTC program, and I am confident that we will make a powerful and resident-focused team," remarks Mr. Vardell.

Dr. Fran Moriarty, Ed.D., Clinical Director, and Ryan Shirilla, LICSW, Associate Clinical Director, will continue to lead the MVTC clinical team, with the added support of Coco Wellington, LMHC, LADCI, as Clinical Supervisor. Coco brings extensive knowledge of evidence based practices, most notably Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and substance abuse treatment. Referral follow-up, in home assessments, and interventions will continue to be managed by Dr. Villiers and supported by Jen Fullerton, LICSW, our Intake Coordinator, and Richard Curtis, LMHC, our Clinical Interventionist. The Director of Business Development will be Mary Jo DeGrandi, MS, who will continue to be supported by Carl Lovejoy, BA, Director of External Affairs, both of whom work collaboratively with other programs through the Family Support Collaborative initiative.
