Mirasol is proud to announce the hiring of Tena Moyer, M.D. as their new medical director. Tena, a psychiatrist with over 19 years of experience will oversee the medical care of Mirasol's residential and outpatient program for women and teenage girls and boys. Tena is a psychiatrist who embraces alternative forms of healing and integrative medicine.
Tena has a wealth of experience in working with mental health and eating disorders in particular. She will continue with her current private practice. In the past she has also held the position of Medical Director and/or Staff Psychiatrist for some of the leading eating disorder, substance abuse, and dually diagnosed treatment centers.
Tena received her M.D. from the University of California School of Medicine and her Residency in General Psychiatry for the University of Arizona.
