Michael Grose began working with Australian parents 20 years ago to provide them with the tools he believes are necessary to raise confident kids and resilient teenagers. He is the author of seven books including his latest, XYZ: The new rules for generational warfare. Michael Grose and his Parenting ideas team offer "high quality presentations, public seminars, books and resources, as well as school and workplace coaching and consultations for parents and organizations."
According to the website, Parenting ideas not only helps parents develop a roadmap to raise confident children, but also teaches them how to enjoy the time they spend with their kids. The program teaches parents how to get their children to be more cooperative, reduces sibling fighting and/ or helps a child develop more confidence. The goal is to help parents formulate and put into action a plan that creates real change.
The program begins with an initial telephone consultation, which is specifically designed to help parents clarify their goals. Parenting ideas then works with the parent on a weekly basis to develop these skills and knowledge. During these weekly coaching sessions, parents have the opportunity to ask questions while getting guidance and help. These coaching sessions provide a mixture of support, information and personal challenge.
