New Start Transports specializes in youth transports from home to a school or program and/ or from one school or program to another, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. New Start employs a "diverse staff of highly trained and qualified agents, dedicated to your family and the safe transport of your child from the place of pick-up to the destination point."

The company requires that all agents must have a clean background, driving record, current CPR/ First Aid certification, training in both non-physical and physical intervention and at least one year of experience working with troubled youth. In addition, agents must pass an FBI background screening, pre-employment drug screening and be registered with Trust Line.

New Start agents undergo a 90-day "extensive" training program from the company's lead agents. Agents then participate in a continuous training program and attend monthly training sessions. New Start agents are trained in the "proper and effective de-escalation techniques to reduce the need for physical intervention, however, the agents are also trained in knowing when and how to use physical restraints when necessary."
