The Achievement Center is a Utah licensed, 16-bed, semi-secure, residential treatment center for adolescent females, ages 13-18. According to their website, the program operates on a level system of rewards for positive behaviors with a strong emphasis on self-esteem building, positive peer relationships, talent development and therapeutic resolution. Achievement Center offers individual, group and family therapy, complete independent living skills, talent development, educational opportunities, community resource services and multi-cultural awareness.

The Achievement Center explains that the program is designed to work best with issues of neglect, abuse, rape, substance abuse, behavioral disorders, ADHD, oppositional defiance, average or below IQ, pregnant teens, depression and those needing individualized treatment and education. "The program is not designed to deal with youth who have serious mental illness and will not accept youth in need of medical detoxification services or who have major medical issues." They explain they believe in complete parent involvement through therapy, e-mails, homework assignments, impact training and visits to our program.

To meet the educational needs of their students, the Achievement Academy is located on site and is under consideration for accreditation through the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. The teacher/student ratio is one to four and the website explains that teachers are certified and experienced in working with at-risk youth. Individual tutoring is available for students, and students may recover or earn advanced credits while attending. The program coordinates "each student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) with their school of origin and maintains contact to ensure a smooth transition back into their original school upon completion of the program."
