Nancy Masland has announced that effective January 1, 2015, she will resign her position as Educational Consultant with NPM&A. Gail Curran who has been a wonderful partner in the business will continue to make therapeutic placements and placements for children, adolescents and young adults with Learning Differences. Independent contractor, Ken Rosenblatt, will continue placements in the College and Boarding School department. We wish Nancy the best of luck and happiness.

Gail M. Curran, MS, MBA concentrates on the therapeutic needs of children, teens and young adults with behavioral, emotional and learning differences, including those involved in the juvenile system. Drawing on her more than 25 years of experience working with residential and day treatment programs for special needs students in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Arizona, Gail specializes in finding the best options for struggling teens and young adults. As a partner of Nancy P. Masland & Associates, she is responsible for providing ongoing support, resources, and community connections in the Phoenix, Arizona area, as well as across the United States of America.

She possesses comprehensive knowledge in student placement services and as part of her assessment process, she travels extensively across the country to evaluate therapeutic boarding schools, struggling teen programs, young adult programs and other treatment facilities.

Gail has a Master's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, in which she wrote her thesis on attachment disorders in children who experience trauma, loss and separation from biological caregivers. She also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration.

She serves on the board of West Valley Child Crisis Center. Her colleagues describe her as passionate, committed and determined to helping youth, adolescents and young adults.

Ken S. Rosenblatt, J.D., Stanford Law School, retired from 25 years of prosecuting complex white-collar and consumer protection cases to do something even more challenging and rewarding: help students navigate the maze of college admissions.

Students with disabilities and various conditions need specialized consulting. Like some consultants, Ken visits colleges across the country. However, in addition to speaking to admissions officers, Ken interviews the disability coordinators whom your student will rely on for critical support once they attend college.

Ken is versed in finding the best college for each student and helping your child get admitted. He uses the Internet extensively to research the most current information which could affect your child, from changing enrollment policies (colleges are tightening enrollment standards for engineering degrees) to notices of new departments and programs within colleges which may welcome your student.

The mission of Nancy P. Masland & Associates (NPM & A) is to advise and assist students, troubled adolescents, young adults and their families to define and achieve both immediate and long-range educational and treatment goals that best meet their needs and aspirations.
