Guardian Angel Youth Services is well known to those of us who have used their transport services in the past. After a period of assessment for a couple years while they looked at other opportunities, the Smiths are again providing Guardian Angel transports as a major service. They offer secure transporting, secure short-term holding, and missing person/runaway recovery. The company specializes in both national and international high-risk transports of youth who cannot or will not go to a program unaided, and provides expedited passport processing for out-of-country programs. Their agents are "highly proficient in non-combative crisis intervention."

Guardian Angel uses a variety of transportation methods, commercial airliners, private charter flights and automobile. The intake coordinators base the method of travel on several factors including the child’s safety, behaviors, runaway risk, verbal/physical confrontation, anxiety, cost effectiveness, time constraints, anonymity and emergencies.

The short-term holding service offers "a safe, secure and structured environment" for adolescents who are awaiting placement, require a time out or while the child is in transition from one program to another.

Guardian Angel also provides a missing persons/runaway service to help parents and families locate missing or runaway children. All services are available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, and references are available upon request.
