Enchanted Acres Youth Ranch is new 12-month behavioral modification program for girls ages 10-15. With a maximum capacity of five girls, Enchanted Acres offers group and individual activities designed to encourage teamwork, cooperation, responsibility, tolerance and creativity. A large variety of farm animals and pets also live on the 30-acre ranch including a cat, dog, sheep, llama, peacocks, calves and horses.

With licensed professional therapists on hand, Enchanted Acres bases the entire program on its therapy component, which includes a variety of counseling modalities such as play, reactive attachment, cognitive behavior and equine assisted therapies. There are also parenting workshops and crisis management. The goal is to help the girls deal with specific behavioral problems such as ADD, ADHD, substance abuse, eating disorders, abuse issues, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and communication skills. Enchanted Acres believes it is crucial to have parental involvement and support throughout the program.

Academics are mandatory at Enchanted Acres with each girl attending either public school or participating in the home study program curriculum, which may be purchased from many accredited private schools. Each resident is evaluated academically upon enrollment into the program and provided with supervision and tutoring regardless of which academic program is selected.
