On April 24, 2007 the Independent Small Programs Alliance (ISPA) Visionary Award was co-presented to Dana Dean Doering and Martha Moses at the ISPA Dinner Meeting at the Union Club in Boston, MA just prior to the IECA Conference.

ISPA has four (4) Awards that may be given in any calendar year. The awards are - The Distinguished Service Award (Lon Woodbury and Struggling Teens received this award in 2007), The Gem Award (Leslie Goldberg received this award in 2007), The ISPA Visionary Award, and The Courage Award - awarded to a program or school showing exemplary leadership, courage in executing its business plan and focusing on the young people and families served before profits. This award has not yet been given in 2007.

Andy Anderson, Managing Partner of ISPA made the presentations to the recipients. Anderson stated," Dana Doering has been exemplary in her guidance, support and vision related to ISPA and Strategic Business Alliances. Dana is so bright that when I told her what I was about to implement, she went out and studied everything available on Strategic Business Alliances. She became and expert and with her knowledge challenged me on point after point as ISPA developed. She truly provided leadership to us and I appreciate her so much."

Anderson said that personality wise the two recipients were quite different, yet both are absolutely devoted to our industry, incredibly smart and energetic and true and honest professionals and friends. Martha Moses according to Anderson "was always there when I had a question or a problem. She listened and then asked the questions necessary for me to trust myself and take the direction I was headed in. Martha Moses is a kind, generous and caring professional, who is very much wrapped in a vision for our industry."

Anderson stated Dana and Martha are exceptional persons. They can talk the talk and yes, they can walk the walk. We are so proud that ISPA has had them in our corner as we developed. They are truly friends of the families we serve and devoted to Educational Consulting and our business. These persons have the needed vision to enhance the private pay market.

ISPA honors these two professionals and looks forward to continued work in having a vision for our industry, Educational Consulting and the Independent Small Programs Alliance.
