Evangeline Christian Home
is a Christian-based, residential treatment for girls ages 12-17, with behavior problems, substance abuse, family problems, poor school
performance, and/or legal problems. The program is also designed to deal with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD,
and bipolar disorder, using a “comprehensive, holistic approach to these problems from a distinctly Christian based focus.” They provide
professional Christian counseling, a structured home and school environment, and a Biblically based coping skills curriculum in a
long term, 12-18 month, group home setting.
At Evangeline Christian Home, an Individualized Education Plan is formed with input from parents, staff, and residents. Year-round
school helps residents get caught up, or even work ahead to finish their diploma or G.E.D. Individual therapy, group therapy, and
coping skills curriculum are integrated into the daily learning center schedule. They use the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE)
Curriculum, published by the School of Tomorrow, which is 'ideally suited' to the year-round home school setting.
