Summit Preparatory School is a private non-profit, therapeutic boarding school for students ages 14-18 with psychological, social, family, behavior, emotional and/or learning problems that inhibit their academic success. The program combines an emotional growth curriculum with college preparatory academics that includes physical education, art, music and drama, with a staff that includes PhD Psychologists, master’s level social workers, certified teachers, and psychiatrist. The length of stay in the program will depend on the student’s individual progress, and could last from 12-24 months.

The academic program operates a year-round accredited college-prep alternative high school program in a small, individualized classroom setting. Subjects are organized into a blocked curriculum instead of separated by grade level.

Newly opened this fall, Summit Preparatory School is now ready to welcome referrals from educational consultants, professional colleagues, parents and teachers. Selected students can either be admitted after successful completion of a wilderness program or inpatient setting, or may be admitted directly from home. “Tuition assistance is available, either in the form of partial scholarships of help with outside funding sources.”
