Youth Intervention Services
Holladay, Utah
Randy Blatnik – President
(801) 277-8440
“The primary purpose of Youth Intervention Services (Y.I.S.) is
to provide a safe, effective, escort for adolescents to various treatment facilities throughout the United States and internationally.”
Y.I.S. is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The agents at Y.I.S. conduct themselves in a “professional manner” at all times during the transport, and will provide updates to
the parent or guardian. The screening process for the agents involves “extensive” background checks, and experience working as a transport.
Agents are also familiar with non-verbal crisis intervention techniques. Bilingual, female, and agents of different cultures are available
upon request. During a transport, a minimum of one agent involved will be CPR and First Aid certified, and all agents obey local,
state and federal laws.
The president/owner of Y.I.S., Randy Blatnik, has a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Utah, and has dedicated
his life to working with youth, with at least 15 years experience working with troubled youth in the State of Utah. He has also worked
as a treatment counselor for a 16-bed youth facility, a mental health professional for a 30-bed private facility, and 6 years case
management experience. While working with troubled youth in Utah, his emphasis has been on “verbal intervention rather than physical
confrontation.”
