SUWS ACQUIRED BY COLLEGE HEALTH ENTERPRISES
June 1, 1994
We are pleased to announce the acquisition of SUWS Adolescent Program, effective June 1, 1994. We are
excited about having a program of the quality that SUWS has provided for the past twelve years join our group of programs for youth
at risk.
As you may be aware, we have operated from their inception both Mt. Bachelor Academy in Oregon
and Aspen Achievement Academy in Utah. It HAS been and WILL continue to be our philosophy to operate
each of our programs separately, so that decisions about program philosophy, content, and admissions are managed by each program's
leadership.
We have been extremely impressed with the staff that has provided services to SUWS teenagers, and have
made a commitment to maintain the program and its staff in entirety. The same group of field supervisors will continue to work with
SUWS youngsters, which will mean "business as usual" in Idaho.
I want to personally thank L.J. Mitchell and George Church for their vision and leadership
in making SUWS what it is today, and we are pleased that they will continue as Board members of SUWS after a thirty day transition
period.
If anyone has specific questions, please feel free to call me directly at 714-891-5000 or call Gary
Alldredge, Director of SUWS at 208-886-2565. Thank you for your continued support of this outstanding intervention program.
Sincerely
Elliot A. Sainer
