Located in beautiful North Alabama, The Pinnacle Schools works every day to fulfill our mission to develop teens that are self-directed, educated and contributing members of society. As a Team Member, you can use your positive attitude to encourage troubled teens and directly impact their young lives. Working with a group of 6-8 teens ages 12-18, you will assist in the care and treatment of troubled teens, assist with off-campus appointments, and provide a positive and effective treatment program.  Health and Dental benefits begin after a 90 day probation period.   Retirement Plan available after completing one-year of employment.  Paid holidays and paid time off.

Program Director: Directing and overseeing direct care staff and staff supervisors.

Expedition Coordinator: Responsible for leading staff and students during adventure based activities and trips. Should be Wilderness First Responder and High Low Ropes Course Certified.

Licensed Therapist: Primary liaison between students and parents during treatment. Responsible for leading treatment teams and documentation of resident progress.

Front Line Staff: Assist in the care and treatment of troubled teens, assist with off-campus appointments, as well as assist with clinical staff with parent workshops as well as group and family therapy.

Requirements:

  • 4 year degree in Social Sciences, Criminal Justice or Therapeutic Recreation required
  • Other degrees considered with experience
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate teens
  • Must be physically fit and able to participate in activities such as hiking, backpacking, canoeing etc.
  • Ability to relate to all segments of the population
  • An understanding of behaviorally disordered teens and their families
  • Adequate ability to speak, read and write English
