DESCRIPTION: WinGate Wilderness Therapy is looking for a female (to work with females) therapist with experience in adolescent and/or young adult mental health treatment. The therapist will carry a caseload of approximately 8 clients. Responsibilities include: ability to provide accurate, in-depth assessments; individual, group, and family therapy; developing treatment plans with clients; family conference calls at least weekly; maintaining contact with families and referring professionals regarding client progress and aftercare recommendations; coordinating and working as an integrated treatment team; maintaining proper documentation; writing appropriate progress reports and discharge summaries/plans; adhering to the professional and ethical practices of the field. Experience working with primary referral sources (educational consultants and other referring professionals) is preferred. A love of the outdoors and an ability to integrate outdoor experiences and metaphors into the clinical process is a plus. Must have a 4-wheel drive vehicle and an ability to navigate back roads - wilderness areas.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have at least a Master's degree in marriage & family therapy, psychology, social work, or a related field; must be licensed in the state of Utah to practice as a mental health clinician (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist).
LOCATION: WinGate Wilderness Therapy is based in beautiful Kanab, UT and operates in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.
