| Wilderness Quest (WQ) is a high impact wilderness experiential, adventure therapy for teens and young adults fighting issues such as alcohol abuse, drug abuse, depression, ADD, ADHD, low self esteem, anxiety, anger management, family issues, school problems, legal issues, behavioral disorders, eating disorders, addiction issues, mood disorders, mental illness, computer addiction, disrespectful behavior, also providing the psychological testing for families needing help. We are looking for highly motivated direct care field staff to join our 12-step based wilderness therapy program. Openings exist at the Assistant, Field Instructor, and Chief Instructor levels. We are also looking to hire a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor and a Field Logistical Supervisor.
Direct Care Field Staff: While we have positions open at a variety of levels, we are primarily looking for individuals with prior 12-step recovery experience and/or field experience in an outdoor youth program. Field staff work 3 week trips out in the field, then have 2-3 weeks off. Relocation is not required. Employee housing is available.
Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor: All applicants must have a valid LSAC (or out of state equivalent that can be transferred to Utah) and must be willing to spend a minimum of 1-2 days per week in a wilderness environment. 12-step experience is a must-have. Must be willing to relocate to Monticello, UT
Licensed Substance Abuse CounselorAll applicants should safety-minded and be experienced at 4x4 off road driving in adverse conditions. EMT, WEMT, or WRF certification is preferred, but not required. Must be willing to relocate to Monticello, UT
