Job Description: Santiam Crossing provides residential treatment for the adolescent graduates of our 51-day wilderness component. (See www.cfreer.com.) The program reflects the intense, adventurous therapy and outdoor aspect that Freer is known for and adds to that an integrated education component. Clients spend approximately equal amounts of time on our campus in the beautiful Cascade foothills and out in the field. Campus life is comprised of school, therapy, recreational and experiential activities, and campus maintenance and development. Off campus activities include service projects and outdoor adventure activities. (Rafting, climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking and others.)

The campus therapist provides group therapy and individual therapy as appropriate for 10-12 residents. The campus therapist works with parents over the phone to support them and co-ordinate services. The therapist conducts family therapy sessions both on the phone and when families visit. The therapist works with educational consultants, therapists and other providers to achieve the most beneficial outcome for our clients and their families.

Specific Requirements: MA, MSW, or Ph.D. Experience with adolescents in residential settings, psychotherapy, family therapy, substance abuse work. Prior case management experience helpful. Ability to work as an integral part of a team.
