Therapist/Social Worker

Location: 

Boys and Girls Town of Missouri campus in Columbia, MO.

Position Summary:

Assume the function of implementing various treatment programs on a state wide level pertaining to the care of children and their families currently participating in the After Care program for the Boys and Girls Town Campus in Columbia Missouri. This position reports to the Clinical Services Manager.
  

Education and Experience:

  • Masters degree in social work, or other closely related degree with a License in the field (eg. LCSW, LPC, PLPC, etc...) or eligible for licensure.
  • Minimum of one-year experience working with family systems and utilizing community resources.
  • Strengths in organization and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Responding to crisis situations with an appropriate level of urgency and decisiveness.
  • Great amount of time spent traveling. 
  • Computer skills and typing accuracy are necessary due to the amount of paperwork that must be completed for social service agencies.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Possess a current, valid driver’s license and meet the agency requirements for insurance.


Salary: negotiable/based on experience

Position includes competitive benefits package on the first of the month after 90 days of employment.  Also includes 401k plan after one year of employment, which Great Circle matches 100 percent up to six percent.

Group Therapist

Location: 

Boys and Girls Town of Missouri campus in St. James, MO.

Position Summary:

The Group Therapist is responsible for the development, implementation, facilitation and administration of psychotherapeutic and psycho-educational counseling groups including substance abuse, anger management, relationship skills, teen issues and general abuse.  The Group Therapist will provide parent education to families of residents.  The Group Therapist participates in the treatment of residents in relationship to their milieu and collaborates with the treatment team in milieu planning. The position reports to the Clinical Services Manager.

Education and Experience:

  1. Licensed and possesses a master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field and able to meet insurance credentialing requirements.
  2. Special interest in and knowledge of substance abuse and assigned group areas.
  3. Experience with residential treatment and mental health.
  4. Strong verbal and written presentation and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to utilize computer and required programs.
  6. Possesses a current valid driver’s license and meet the requirement for insurance.
  7. Maintains Great Circle training, certification and licensure requirements.
  8. Capable of participating in therapeutic recreation activities.

Licensed Therapist

Boys & Girls Town of Missouri, a Great Circle agency has openings for two dynamic, energetic Licensed Therapists for our residential programs.  BGTM is looking for an After Care Therapist for our Columbia, MO campus, and a Residential Therapist for our St. James/Rolla, MO campus.  At Boys & Girls Town of Missouri, we achieve miracles every day.  Our 24/7 treatment program provides a loving, caring environment in which children receive positive reinforcement.  This helps improve self-esteem and leads to the development of positive relationships.  When children form trusting, caring relationships with adults, they feel safe and become secure enough to discover talents and strengths in themselves and create positive, productive lives.

Therapists will provide social casework, social group work, and counseling services at a professional level, including intensive therapeutic planning and interventions.  These positions report to the Clinical Services Manager of their region. We require a Masters Degree in Social Work or an equivalent behavioral science. Must hold a valid Missouri license as a LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or must be provisionally licensed. Preferably some experience in residential treatment, child welfare, or mental health setting. Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and capable of engaging in strenuous physical activities in the stress challenge programs.

Clinical Services Manager

We take great care of our employees and in return, we expect a high work ethic, professionalism and collaboration with treatment team members statewide.  This position supervises the job duties of all employees in the Clinical service department.   In addition, the Clinical Services Manager is responsible to ensure that Medicaid Services are provided in the most effective manner, meeting all regulations, and that billing is both timely and accurate on the part of the therapists.  Exceptional communication and leadership skills are essential to this position. 

We require a Masters Degree in a Clinical service field, and Missouri licensure or provisional licensure as an LPC or LCSW. This position also requires at least six years of professional clinical experience in residential treatment providing services to individuals, groups, and families, to included two years of supervisory and administrative experience.  Strong clinical skills and an innate desire to help children and families are also an integral need for this position.
