Job Description:
Manages all aspects of the GERSH EXPERIENCE LLC. Responsible for identifying trends, patterns and key indicators of participant and staff behaviors regarding quality of participation and performance in the program. Develops solutions to increase quality to enhance retention of participants and staff. Responsible for overall fiscal management of program, which includes marketing, census, retention, operating expenses, revenue and capital projects. Supervision of staff and faculty. Develops and implements annual strategic plan to coordinate program services to ensure signature quality of program. Works as a team member with CEO and COO to provide compliance with standard operating procedures throughout the GERSH EDUCATION organization.
Program Information:
The Gersh Experience is a one-of-a-kind post secondary, undergraduate academic program for students with neurobiological disorders such as Asperger’s Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, and other mild to moderate Learning Disabilities. We strive to provide a customized program of support based on the unique skills, strengths, interests and needs of each student. The goal of our program is to move young adults toward independence in the areas of academics, employment, apartment living, money management and social interactions.
We provide a positively structured living environment and a supportive, personalized program that includes:
- group, individual & family therapy
- one-on-one coaching
- recreation/adventure experiences
- peer support
- tutoring and structured study sessions – H.S. Completion and College Degree
- access to academic institutions, vocational internships and volunteer opportunities
Requirements
Masters required; PhD or equivalent preferred. LPC or LCSW licensed practioner or Special Education credential preferred. Five or more years related experience working within residential program delivery for adolescents and young adults with special needs, and three or more years experience in a supervisory role. Working knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred. Knowledge of Clinical/Therapeutic milieu and interaction a must. Two or more year’s exposure to Marketing and/or Admissions process a plus.
