Program Director

REPORTS TO:  CEO

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, responsible for directing Clinical and Life Skills staff's ability to maintain an emotionally and physically safe environment. The Program Director will work closely with clinical, medical, academic, program, admissions and support departments to advise the CEO of the facility "climate", i.e., trends, patterns and key indicators of student and staff behaviors regarding quality of participation and performance in the program.  Recommends solutions for service delivery systems and interventions to enhance retention of students and staff. Reviews incoming placement applications for appropriateness and audits clinical master treatment plans for students with final authority in determining changes to a student's placement.  Corresponds with outside agencies and facilities to develop appropriate transition plans for students.  Maintains relationships with contracted service providers, including psychiatric and medical.  Monitor, review, approve and make recommendations for specialized behavioral treatment plans.  Reviews quality of group and individual therapy sessions.  Responsible for coaching, counseling, mentoring and performance evaluation of each supervised employee, annually. Directs the coordination of staff scheduling and coordination of scheduled school events. Train and mentor Team Managers and Clinicians on appropriate personal and therapeutic growth techniques and procedures to promote a healthy culture and ensure safety. Liaison to Department managers to ensure adherence to federal and state regulatory standards. Participate in and support the curriculum review committee to oversee and ensure quality and effectiveness of psycho-educational program instruction.  Provides professional communication, interaction and service recovery skills with families and professional referral sources.  Participates in parent workshops, seminars and support groups as required.  Responsible for personal and Corporate Service Excellence standards. 

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Masters or PhD degree in psychology, social work or related field required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: CPR/First Aid and CPI certification required. Preference for additional training in crisis intervention and management.  Valid driver’s license required.   AGE: Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age per Idaho licensing requirements.   EXPERIENCE:  Four or more years working with adolescents at-risk; including a minimum three years of supervisory experience. Preferred experience in therapeutic residential programming; any other combination of training and experience which (a) provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities and (b) is deemed acceptable by the Chief Executive Officer.   SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: General knowledge of workplace and office safety, including ergonomics, video screen display.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasionally lift and carry medium weight (25-50 lbs.)  Able to sit, stand, and walk at will, not a sedentary position. Ability to touch, hear, see and speak corrected to normal range.

Youth Counselor

Reports to: Team Manager

Schedule: 40 Hours per week, schedule varies, including weekends/evenings.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise students to ensure that basic needs are met, and that the environment is emotionally and physically safe. Sets and enforces behavior management plans and student limits and provides crisis intervention as required to resolve conflicts and contain inappropriate and/or unsafe behavior, according to company policy. Develop, schedule and supervise daily and special activities of students, such as chores, daily and weekend activities, physical education, special projects, field trips, wilderness expeditions, program trips and excursions. Assist students with academic work assigned outside of the classroom. Participate in all daily activities with students. Instruct students in learning skills necessary for completion of activities and safety practices to ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Supports the personal growth program. Provide counseling to students to assist with individual work, peer group processes, and staff relationships. Participates in groups and workshops as scheduled. Assists with the development, implementation and modification of student Individual Program Plan (IPP), under the supervision of the Team Manager. Responsible for timely documentation of student progress, incidents and other required paperwork according to program standards. Responsible for timely and accurate communication with peer group, team, and other appropriate staff regarding delivery of service, progress, concerns and recommendations. Responsible for Company and personal Service Excellence Standards.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field from four-year college or university preferred; and/or equivalent combination of experience and training. Minimum per Idaho licensing regulations is a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum two year's experience working with youth-at-risk. One year in a residential program preferred. Must be at least nineteen (19) years of age per Idaho licensing regulations. Training and certification in the areas of First Aid, CPR and non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) preferred or the ability to become certified within first ninety days. General knowledge of workplace and office safety, including ergonomics, video screen display. While performing the functions of this job, the employee will periodically be required to participate in various physical activities with the students. These activities may include, but not be limited to: work assignments, wood chopping, day hikes, and other sport and recreational activities. The employee will also be regularly required to walk on uneven grounds including but not limited to: rough, rocky, steep, muddy or snowy pathways. The employee frequently is required to use fingers and hands to handle or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

SALARY RANGE: $10.02 - $14.00 D.O.E. and qualified level. Licensed Clinical Therapist

Reports To:  Clinical Director
It is our policy to allow for transfers only after the first six months of employment.  We believe that the introductory period is one of learning about the company and is usually best done under the guidance of one supervisor whenever possible.  We also believe that most of our jobs require at least a six month learning curve, and that it would be difficult to transfer and succeed in the new position during that time frame.  We are a growing company and many more opportunities will become available in the future

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Provide psychotherapy to students and handle all therapy-related information and communications for Boulder Creek Academy co-ed students.  Complete initial bio/psycho/social assessment, master treatment plan, progress notes, and individual treatment plan updates within the required time frame.  Effectively manage assigned caseload and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team in implementing and documenting student treatment plans.  Provide students with individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy and psycho educational classes. Participate fully in program rules, policies and expectations in dealing with students. Provides crisis intervention and assessments. Monitors self-harm, group safety level and emotional readiness to participate in on and off-campus activities. As clinical liaison, responsible for verbal and written communication with third party reviewers, families and program faculty, regarding clinical status of students. Responsible for Company and personal Service Excellence Standards.

REQUIREMENTS:  Masters Degree in social work or counseling field required. State licensed in Clinical Social Work or Counseling, or commitment to obtain license within agreed upon time frame set at hire (stated salary scale dependent on licensure). Minimum one year experience working with adolescents in a therapeutic role, preferably in a residential or in-patient environment, experience with LD and Aspergers preferred.  May be required to receive after hours calls regarding students assigned to your caseload.  Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age per Idaho licensing requirements. First Aid/CPR and Crisis Intervention Prevention (CPI) preferred at hire or within 90 days of hire.   General knowledge of workplace and office safety, including ergonomics and video display terminal. Occasionally lift and carry very light weight, up to 10 lbs. Ability to touch, hear, see and speak corrected to normal range. Regularly walk on uneven terrain such as rough, rocky, steep, muddy or snowy pathways.

HOURS:  Full Time Regular status forty hours per week.  Some weekend work may be required.  Rotating on-call duties will be required. 

SALARY:  Licensed therapist scale $44,664 - $53,597 dependent on education, licensure and years of experience.  Separate scale for non-licensed.

BCA is a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation.  Hours will be determined based on the needs of our students and employees can expect to work varied schedules.
