The board of trustees of the Three Springs Foundation announced today the creation of a new scholarship.

Each year since 1996 the Three Springs Foundation awards scholarships to Three Springs, Inc. graduates who demonstrate personal and academic achievement while attending Three Springs programs. Last year college scholarships were awarded to ten graduates from Three Springs schools around the country.

At the April meeting of the Foundation Board members voted to create an Aftercare Scholarship.

Aftercare counseling is a service provided to Three Springs alumni who wish to continue receiving support after graduation from a program.

“We are extremely proud of our graduates and excited about the new scholarship opportunity” said Paul Huston, trustee member and parent of a former Three Springs student. “These children have worked very hard and we are delighted to help them continue their personal growth.”

This scholarship provides Three Springs graduates with an opportunity to travel to a program campus for aftercare counseling; the Foundation will assist scholarship recipients with transportation costs.

Three Springs, Inc. is a nationally recognized leader in youth services, founded in 1985 to provide therapy and education to adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral and learning problems.

The Three Springs Foundation is governed by a board of trustees that is composed of parents of Three Springs graduates and representatives from Three Springs, Inc. As well as providing direct financial assistance, Three Springs, Inc. and it’s employees donate the administrative support necessary to operate the Foundation.
